Opening the site

Delivering a page requires our hosting infrastructure to receive the requested address and your connection information, including your IP address. This happens independently of your advertising choice. The advertising integration does not send your saved preference to an API or create a reader account.

Advertising after consent

Only after you accept do we load the Adsterra advertising code. It may use cookies and pseudonymous identifiers and process your IP address, device and browser information, ad impressions and clicks to deliver and measure advertising. Adsterra and its advertising partners receive information as described in the linked policies, including their retention and international transfer terms.

Your choice and withdrawal

We store accept or reject, the policy version and the save and expiry dates in this browser for up to 180 days, without a user identifier. You can read without accepting. Use Ad preferences in the footer and Reject ads to withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future loading of the advertising code and may reload the page; it does not erase data already received by a partner. If the browser cannot save your choice, it may not remember it on a later visit.

For privacy questions or to exercise applicable rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, use the contact above. You can withdraw advertising consent at any time and may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. For data held by an advertising partner, its policy provides the relevant contact and details.

Optional visit and reading analytics

Only after you accept, Google Analytics receives visits, article and language information, approximate country, a limited traffic source and reading signals. Active time and the visible part of the text are signals, not proof of reading or understanding. Google uses first-party cookies with a pseudonymous browser identifier. We do not send names, emails, form content, search terms or full referring URLs. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. Only consenting visits are measured.

This separate choice is remembered for up to 180 days. After acceptance, a bounded record in this tab remembers the entry article and reading signals until 30 minutes of inactivity. Withdraw at any time in Analytics preferences. Withdrawal stops future collection, clears our session and Google Analytics cookies, and may reload the page.
